In celebration of VIVO’s 45th anniversary, come enjoy a program of video art from the Video Out Collection and Crista Dahl Media Library and Archive. The works selected reflect changes in social consciousness, digital technology, and narrative strategies over the last 45 years. Never-before-exhibited tapes like Skip Blumberg’s Instant TV; Gender Politics (1993) (featuring poet Eileen Myles) and Clark Nikolai’s Lady Crayon Goes to Mars (2018) will screen alongside Vancouver classics like Randy & Berenicci’s Raven Mad (1990) and Marina Roy’s Sleeper (2004), plus many more gems you’ve probably not seen!
