From our small beginnings out of the Vancouver Art Gallery on Georgia Street in 1972 to a well established and stable arts organization, the Cinematheque has finally reached middle age in 2012 with a 40th Birthday.

We will be celebrating this milestone all year with a special VIP party on August 2nd and $1 public screening of Hitchcock's "North by Northwest."

Come November, our annual fundraising event will celebrate 40 years of cinema with a gala at the CBC Building on November 15th.

And then for you die-hard movie fans, a movie marathon will take place the November 16 to 18 weekend.

What else do we have in store? A new look in our courtyard with fresh signage, website updates, new swag and a new brand!
